VIDEO: WV Gov. Jim Justice signs ‘The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act’ (HB 4007) on 3/2/2020
West Virginians For Life introduced and backed this legislation. We’re thrilled it’s now law, and that WV is yet again making nationwide news with pro-life leadership. Note: It’s newsworthy that our WV legislators succeeded in bipartisan passage of the very thing federal lawmakers can’t even bring to the floor: actionable protection for babies who survive abortionists’ best efforts to kill them. The Mountain State’s leadership continues to be noticed, and we’re genuinely influencing other states with pro-life values. We’ve got to keep a pro-life President in office and a pro-life majority in the Senate, to keep getting better judges & justices on the bench at all levels. Your pro-life support and vote are needed now more than ever.
WV makes nationwide news again with pro-life leadership
The Christian Post’s national headline reads: “W.Va. governor signs law requiring doctors to help babies born alive after abortion.” It’s newsworthy that our WV legislators succeeded in bipartisan passage of the very thing federal lawmakers can’t even bring to the floor: actionable protection for babies who survive abortionists’ best efforts to kill them. The Mountain State’s leadership continues to be noticed, and we’re genuinely influencing other states with pro-life values.
One of my WV friends responded with, “This is good, but how about we outlaw abortion…period!” That’s definitely the goal. Legal challenges are certain, however, and they would wind up at the U.S. Supreme Court’s door. So long as we lack a majority of justices willing to overturn Roe, each opportunity that SCOTUS turns away from tends to actually make it worse (for example, consider the new “undue burden” standard crafted by the 1992 Casey ruling). Even just last summer the high court overturned dismemberment abortion ban laws such as ours—a WVFL victory, passed in 2016, now wrongfully deemed unconstitutional and unenforceable.
Overturning the bad precedents of Roe is doable, but it will require a willing court. Sadly, indications are it’s not there yet, but we’re making headway. We’ve got to keep a pro-life President in office and a pro-life majority in the Senate, to keep getting better judges & justices on the bench at all levels. Your pro-life support and vote are needed now more than ever.

Mom Regains Custody of 10-Month-Old Son Who Was Taken By CPS ‘Because She Left the Hospital Too Quickly’
Judge: “There is nothing in the record which would lead this court to believe that the mother is unwilling to provide the appropriate care for the child.”
A Minnesota mom whose 10-month-old son was taken from her by child protective services because she didn’t stick around the hospital for a second opinion on his cough finally regained custody—four months and six court dates later. The judge ruled that the nurse who claimed Amanda Weber’s actions left her child, Zayvion, in “danger of dying,” had engaged in “disinformation.”
It all started in May when Weber brought Zayvion to Children’s Hospital for a cough. Doctors determined Zayvion was fine and stable, and after a long wait for another doctor, Weber wanted to go home and signed that she was leaving against medical advice. The next day, Zayvion was immediately taken away by CPS for medical neglect.
After Zayvion was taken, Weber began her fight to get him back. The county declared that Weber had deprived her son of necessary medical care. Weber denied this, asserting that both the social worker and a doctor on the case had acted “in bad faith and with malice.”
Last week, Judge Leonard Weiler agreed. He ruled there was zero evidence of medical neglect on the mom’s part, and that she had acted within her rights in taking Zayvion home.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw rebuts Bernie Sanders’ bogus claim that “abortion is a constitutional right”
Radically pro-abortion Sen. Bernie Sanders, while campaigning for the highest office of the nation, had the indecency to describe the senseless killing of innocent, defenseless human beings as a “constitutional right.” He tweeted that, “Abortion is a constitutional right – not a privilege for those who can afford it.”
Many Americans think “rights” are for all, while “privileges” are for some, yet “right” and “privilege” are actually synonyms. The two words have historically meant exactly the same. Thus, in our Declaration of Independence, the Founders placed a couple of crucial modifiers in front of “rights” — to denote a short list of “certain inalienable rights” so as to describe them as being set apart from normal, mere rights (i.e. privileges), because these certain ones are given by God and are “inalienable.” Thus we point out that God never gave human mothers an inalienable right to destroy their own offspring while their babies are still in the womb, the place where they ought to be most protected, not exposed to being killed. Furthermore, the Founders explicitly included the God-given right to life as the top of that short list of actual inalienable rights. One cannot have their right to life be inalienable, secured and always honored, so long as someone else is legally permitted to kill them. Bernie Sanders, being Jewish, ought to remember well that the biblical Book of Esther describes exactly such an instance, when Jewish citizens’ right to life was not secure because a law decreed that Jews could legally be killed without any consequence of punishment.
Pro-life Rep. Dan Crenshaw (follow him on Facebook / Twitter) powerfully responded to Bernie Sanders’ atrocious, bogus claim, by tweeting back that,
1. Abortion, or anything resembling the notion of abortion, is never mentioned in the Constitution.
2. To call abortion- wherein a baby dies – a “privilege” is the worst case of casual devaluation of human life that I ever seen from a presidential candidate. https://t.co/qtxP8fZEiN

PS: For any who are wondering why there should be two different words, right and privilege, that mean the same, consider that “right” is from Old English, while “privilege” is a borrow word from French — one of many. We have many such dual-word instances: drink (English) and beverage (French); and fight (English) and battle (French) are just two more examples of a very common duality in our language, due to its rich history.

Quote The Radiance Foundation:
More censorship from Apple Inc. After approving LifeSiteNews.com on the company’s news platform, they were abruptly banned for showing “intolerance”–code for embracing reason and faith. This is totalitarian tech. They are working together to make sure there are no ideological barriers to their “progressive” agenda. As we ramp up to the 2020 elections, we will find more purging, more censorship, and more demonization of those with Christian and/or conservative worldviews that clash with those who control the flow of information in this country. #BigTechBigBias #TheRealCollusion

Big Tech Bias — Blocking Pro-Life Groups From Advertising
Pro-life groups/ads have been blocked by Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, et al. As reported by IrishCentral and Lifesite: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted that Facebook deliberately banned pro-life ads from the US during the Irish abortion referendum after the Irish government told them they had no laws either way to cover such foreign advertising.
The depth of their bias is being revealed. As reported by Mat Staver (Liberty Counsel): a senior software engineer at Google stepped out of the shadows to confirm that Google is “very politically biased.” Greg Coppola has a Ph.D. in computer science. This executive, who was with Google for five years, went on camera with Project Veritas to issue these explosive charges: “I’m very concerned to see Big Tech and the Big Media merge, basically, with a political party, with the Democrat Party…. We…are seeing tech use its power to manipulate people…. We have tech that really, first of all, is taking sides in a political contest.” Coppola, who works on artificial intelligence and Google Assistant—or at least he did, until the tech giant put him on “administrative leave” insists, “We’re just at a really important point in human history.” Coppola declares, “It’s time to decide. Are we going to just let the biggest tech companies decide who wins every election from now on?”

Abortion survivor missing limbs has ‘to live with someone else’s choice’
Nik had his limbs ripped off by an abortionist, but he is determined to live life to the fullest despite the brutal attack.
“I knew that I was supposed to be an aborted baby and it failed. It makes me angry because I would never want for that to happen to any kid. Anybody can become anything, and getting rid of a kid like that isn’t right to me.”
Did a Netflix show kill Anna Bright?
More than two years after its debut, a graphic suicide scene has been cut from the first season of 13 Reasons Why, Netflix announced Monday.
AFA has repeatedly urged Netflix to remove 13 Reasons Why from its lineup since the death of Anna Bright, a 14-year-old who mimicked the suicide scene after binge-watching the first season episodes.
Netflix has come under stronger scrutiny since a report last April showed suicides among U.S. kids aged 10 to 17 spiked to a 19-year high in the month following the release of 13 Reasons Why.
During April 2017 alone, 190 U.S. tweens and teens took their own lives. Their April 2017 suicide rate was .57 per 100,000 people, nearly 30 percent higher than in the preceding five years included in the study. An additional analysis found that the April rate was higher than in the previous 19 years, said lead author Jeff Bridge, a suicide researcher at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
By pulling the graphic suicide scene, Netflix has finally acknowledged the harmful influence that 13 Reasons Why is capable of inflicting on teens. Along with AFA’s repeated warnings, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention joined the cause by advising Netflix to remove the scene. Finally, they may be listening to common sense.
Netflix is clearly at a critical moment. It has the opportunity to distance its close association with teen suicide by completely removing the series altogether. We hope it will…before another child is lost.
TAKE ACTION
If you haven’t yet, please sign the petition to Netflix. Then,…
Help me warn as many parents as possible about 13 Reasons Why.Despite pleas from pro-family groups to cancel 13 Reasons Why, Netflix is already planning to release Season 3 soon.
Please copy and paste the information below into an email and send it to everyone in your address book, especially those who have teenagers in their home.
I wanted to let you know about a petition that I signed to Netflix CEO Reed Hastings. Through the American Family Association (AFA), I learned of a show called 13 Reasons Why that is airing on Netflix right now.
13 Reasons Why is extremely dangerous and has become a lightning rod for critics who say it glorifies suicide and may even make it an attractive option for teenagers who are enduring difficult times in their lives.
I’m warning my family and friends about 13 Reasons Why and am asking you to learn more at www.afa.net/netflix. I hope you will take time to read about 14-year-old Anna Bright, who is just one of many who committed suicide after binge-watching 13 Reasons Why.
Then, join me in signing the petition to Netflix, urging them to pull 13 Reasons Why before another teen decides to end their life through suicide.
Thank you for standing for righteousness and for fighting with us on this important issue.
Sincerely,
Tim Wildmon, President
American Family Association
