In a surprising vote, the New Mexico Senate voted down HB-51, an extreme abortion bill that sought to ensure legal abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, remove parental notification, and force doctors to commit abortions despite their moral objections. In a vote of 18 in favor to 24 against, eight Democrats voted against the bill. Read more:   https://www.liveaction.org/news/new-mexico-defeats-abortion-bill/

“The word ‘abortion’ is itself is a euphemism,” Shapiro says. “The procedure of abortion isn’t an anodyne polyp removal. It involves doing terminal violence to an unborn child. Ignoring that fact allows abortion advocates to avoid looking reality directly in the face…. This is a picture of a 19-week-old baby. This is a human child. This is not a ball of goo. This is not a cluster of cells….”   H/T liveaction.org

October 5, 2018 Letters to the Editor have been appearing in newspapers around the State, making extreme claims about what the effect of Amendment 1 will be if passed. It’s time to get the facts. SJR 12 passed the WV Legislature today! WV voters will now have their say in next election! If the voters of the state want to stop taxpayer funding of elective abortions (which have totaled almost $10,000,000.00 for some 35,000 abortions), this constitutional amendment is the only way to get it done. Anything less than a constitutional amendment will allow the matter to continue to elude us, because the horrific Panepinto opinion by the WV Supreme Court has effectively taken the issue out of our elected officials’ hands. Pro-Life voters in Harrison County: Take note that Delegates Iaquinta and Miley both voted against the Pro-Life SJR 12 Amendment to stop taxpayer funding of elective abortions in WV! …

One of the most important ways to fight breast cancer is to overturn Roe v. Wade. The causation link between abortion and breast cancer is supported by an overwhelming preponderance of evidence, notwithstanding the fake story coming from Planned Parenthood, et al. Watch this video for important facts about this issue:

A couple of years ago, the pro-life organization in which I serve as a volunteer, West Virginians For Life (the statewide affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee) distributed a mailer regarding a then-upcoming election. A seemingly sincere pro-abortion woman, Amanda, sent her response (regarding the mailer) by way of publicly commenting at one of our pro-life websites. Here is her brief comment and my open reply follows it: Dear Pro lifers of West Virginia, I just got your advertisement in the mail today telling me not to vote for Natalie Tennat [sic]. Not only am I voting for Natalie for Senate, but she is the only reason I am going to vote. Your philosophies seem to govern much around …

There is an effort currently underway within the American Medical Association (AMA) to abandon its decades-long position opposing assisted suicide and take a neutral stance which only sends a green light to the states that legalizing is acceptable. However, National Right to Life was recently made aware that the AMA will hold an interim meeting on November 13 and 14 in Orlando where a special breakout session will be held on assisted suicide. Both the national and state medical societies’ opposition to doctor-prescribed suicide have been instrumental in stopping the spread of these dangerous laws. In fact, when the Vermont and California medical societies took neutral positions, it was devastating to the efforts in the …
